This piece is a deep dive into electric botany, exploring the hidden energy that pulses through the natural world when the sun goes down. Leaf Me Alone moves away from the literal green of the garden and into a bioluminescent dreamscape, where foliage is rendered in currents of light and shadow.
The work is an exploration of solitude as a source of power. The title is a playful nod to the need for personal space, reflected in the way the leaves overlap and nestle into one another, creating a protective, glowing canopy.
